How Can severe Knee Pain Be Treated?

Over the past week I have been having occasional, sever knee pains, lasting only a few seconds, on the side of my kneecap. The frequency is increasing... today it happened 12 or 15 times. The pain is severe, i d rank it a 10, causing me to gasp and writhe in pain.

Hi,

What is your age? It may be arthritis of the knee joint or some other pathology related to musculoskeletal stuctures of the knee joint. You can take a short course of non steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines; however, I would suggest you to physically visit an orthopedics specialist for expert opinion.

Hope that helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ajay Panwar, Neurologist
